Quite a Day

I was hardly up this morning when the nice vet man came to my house. Now, before you wonder what has happened to the real Squeak, don't worry, it is me. The vet is a very nice man and I like him, I just don't like what he does to me, and I know I can hear you all telling me it is for my own good, but I don't have to like it, do I?

So, anyway. In he came just as I was finishing my breakfast 'cos I didn't get up very early, you see, and he plonked me up on the table to get a better look. I wasn't frightened 'cos my MH was there beside me all the time and as soon as the vet saw me he said I was beautiful, so I knew he was a nice man. He feeled all over my adorable little tummy and looked at my teeth, and I didn't even try to bite him. I think he appreciated that! Then he put his stethoscope thingy on me and listened to my little chest and said everything was fine but then he tooked out one of his ginormous needles and headed towards me brandishing it in the air and I have to admit that my little legs were a wee bit shaky when I saw it, but the old dear was holding me so I didn't disgrace myself and I still pretended to be brave.

He stuck the needle in at the back of my neck and it was so big that I thought it might come out the front, and I did have a wee feel with one of my little paws just in case, but naturally there was nothing there and to be honest, I didn't really feel anything so as soon as he was finished, I gave him one of my special purrs and he smiled at me.

The rest of my day went well although I have been a bit tired but I helped my MH cut our grass and then I had a roll on it and it was lovely and warm 'cos the sun was shining. I lay there for a long time just watching all the little lambs jumping and playing and it made me very happy.

The sun is still shining and my little island is lovely and warm, so after I have had a nap, I shall be heading outside and I think my humans will be able to leave the window open for me, so I shall probably stay out quite late I think.

I just love when the sun is shining so I hope it stays like this for a long, long time.

  1. I am happy that you were brave and you must remember that Your Vet visits you, so you must be a special puss. It is okay to feel tired after the stress of having that huge needle.

  2. I think I am a special puss and so does my MH, so if you think so too, it must be right! :-))
