Contentment

Everything is back to normal chez Squeak and I am quite amazed at how quickly my humans have settled into my routine again, so I think I must have taught them really well.

I had my gourmet dinner last night and it was delicious and I ate it all up, so I didn't need any chicken, but there is some of that left, so I may try a wee bit tonight. I shall see how I feel.

My humans and their friends have noticed that I am growing up now and I am more a cat than a kitten. I am sleeping more but I still like playing with my MH and do that every day, really just to keep the old dear happy.

It doesn't take much at all!

Normal Service

We all had a long sleep this morning 'cos my humans were a wee bit tired after all their travelling, so I just cuddled up and had a wee sleep too.

I am very happy that they are home again and they brought me some new toys and a gourmet dinner! Now, I get fed very well on all sorts of cat food and sometimes I even get some cat chocolates, but I have never had a gourmet dinner and I am having that tonight when my humans are having chicken. I shall tell you if I liked it, or if I would have preferred the chicken!

It has been a good day and I have been out to play a lot, but I keep coming in to have a cuddle on my MH's lap as I missed that when she was away. I had a wee chat to the sheeps and a cheeky one even came into my garden 'cos the humans forgot to close the gate last night and there is one sheeps out on its own and it came right into my garden and left a big deposit on my grass.

The Boss told my DH to clean it up and he did although he wasn't too pleased.

As I said, normal service is resumed!

Happy News!

They are back! My humans have returned!

My cunning plan didn't work and they went away and left me for a whole week, but they are home and I am a happy puss once again, although I did have a good time when they were away, but they don't know that.

I was well looked after by A. and his brother J. and my MH's friends came in through the day to see me and tickle my adorable little tummy,so all was well but I did miss my humans and I will tell them that later--after I have made them suffer a wee bit.

They told me they had had a good time and they have brought me some presents, so they were thinking about me when they were in Glasgow and I am very happy about that.

So, my dear feline friends, normal service has been resumed chez Squeak and all is well.

Guess What?

There was a man in my house today who was allergic to me!! Can you imagine that? How can anybody be allergic to an adorable little pussy cat like me?

One of my heaters in the living room wasn't working and this nice man came out to fix it and as soon as he saw me he said he was allergic and I had to be put in the bedroom. That wasn't too bad 'cos it was quite early and my MH was still in bed, so I just cuddled up and had a wee snooze, and the man didn't sneeze much!

I won't be able to write to you for a week as my humans are going for a wee holiday, but as soon as they come home, I will be back to tell you all about me.

I hope you won't miss me too much!

A Cunning Plan!

My MH told me today that they are going away for a wee while on Friday and I have to be left on my own, although I am not really on my own 'cos my friend A.comes to stay with me and sometimes he brings his brother J. and we all have good fun. A. looks after me and feeds me but J.lets me lie on his tummy when he is lying on my couch, and I like that a lot.

I actually have a lot of fun when my humans are away 'cos A. leaves the window open for me and I can nip in and out as I please, and them my MH's friends come in every afternoon to see me so I have lots of company----but I don't tell my humans that!

BUT, I have an idea and I was trying it out today when my MH took my picture. If I nip into the suitcase when they are not looking, I could go on holiday too!! Brilliant idea, eh?

What a surprise they would get when I jumped out of the suitcase! I may give this some serious consideration!

Hunting

I went out very late last night and hunted for hours. It was very calm and I could hear all the wee mouses scampering about the long grass, so I just lay and listened and when one came near me, I pounced and gave it a great big fright. I did that lots of times and I liked it.

My MH had gone to bed and it was just me and my DH and he opened the window for me and out I went. I kept nipping back in to make sure that my humans were OK and that my MH was sleeping and then I would go back out and do 'cat' work until I got a wee bit tired and went inside and cuddled up beside The Boss and we both snored for a long time until it was time to get up again.

This morning they both went over to Stromness but they left the window open for me, so I could do what I wanted and then they played with me when they came home so that was fine.

I had a wee snooze in the afternoon 'cos I need all my strength to go out tonight and frighten more mouses. Oh yes, life is good.

Funny Weather

I can't get my adorable little head round this weather. One day it is blowing a gale and pouring with rain, and the next day it is lovely. What is a puss cat supposed to do? And how am I supposed to organise my social life?

As I told you, yesterday was horrible and I was indoors nearly all day, although I did go out hunting for a wee while at night---in the dark and it was good.

But today has been lovely and although it has been cold, I have been out playing all day and I even helped my MH hang out her washing again and I ran up the clothes pole while she was busy.

I wonder what it will be doing tomorrow?
