Working Hard

I have been a very busy little puss today because I have decided that I need to find the best place to have a rest and I have been wandering all over my house resting my adorable little body on all sorts of couches and chairs and mats and giving them marks out of ten and tomorrow I shall compile my list. So that's what today's pictures are. One is of me on my chair at the window and the other is me on my woolly rug which is under the window.

These are all good places to sit or sleep but I am sure you will not be surprised when I tell you that number one on my list is my MH's knee. That is my favouritist place in the en-tire world, and I think it always will be 'cos although all the other places are very comfortable, I don't get stroked or get my little lugs scratched when I am there, and I do when I am on the old dear's knee, so it is a no contest really.

I have had a good day but it didn't start off too well 'cos just after I had finished my breakfast, I was sitting on my windowsill getting ready to go out and survey my happy hunting ground when shock, horror, I saw a huge doggy in my garden. Lucky for me, my MH saw it too and didn't open the window to let me out which is just as well as I would not have been accountable for my actions. I am sure I would have given that doggy the fright of his life, but instead, I just sat at my window and growled at him and my MH was smiling 'cos my hackles were up and she thought I looked even cuter than usual. I don't think the doggy would have thought so. But he went away before we had a chance to find out.

The rest of my day has been good with little trips out to my garden and lots of playing with my humans and of course lots of naps while I have been testing, so tonight I am a very contented little Squeak.

It's Friday

And I like Fridays. It us usually a lazy day in my house 'cos my MH has finished all her housework and she gets ready for the weekend, so Friday in my house is a good day and night time is brilliant 'cos we all watch the Musketeers which we all love. In fact, I love it SO much that I play it outside with two of my little mouse friends. I can't find any more to play with me but the three of us are fine. Our 'Mouseketeers' names are Harmless, Pothole and I am the Dark-Cat-Yin. Brilliant, is it not? We just have fantastic fun and I am sure that when some of the other mouses waken up from their winter sleep, they will want to play too. I can hardly wait.

I nearly caused an accident to my dear old MH this morning and because I didn't, it was quite funny and she did laugh---eventually! Explain? OK.
We wakened up and my MH got all clean and then came back into the bedroom to get dressed and I just sat on my bed patiently waiting 'cos the first thing she does when she is all ready is clean my dinner dish and fill it up 'cos by morning time I am a hungry, hungry puss and the old dear knows that. Well, she was just about finished, but when she stood up she nearly fell over 'cos there was a certain little animal hanging on to the cord of her fleece making it just a little bit heavy and as it was just a tad unexpected my MH nearly fell on the floor. Oops! Can you guess who it was? Aw, you always know it was me, sure you do?

I have had just a normal afternoon but I did have rather good fun playing with my little ball and some of my other toys and it was really good fun. I am so happy to have found it again and I think it is a happy little ball too.

Trust me, I know these things!!

A Huge Surprise

I think that if I keep on being just the bestest pussy cat is this en-tire world I will keep getting big surprises and that certainly worked today, but I think I shall keep you in suspense for a wee while. I will tell you, but later.

It was very windy through last night and it was still windy when this morning came so I didn't go outside until the afternoon and then I had a couple of very short runs round my garden although one time I persuaded my MH to come outside with me and we had great fun together. She had a wee walk up and down the path and then she stood at the door and watched as yours truly bounded all over the grass and as usual I made her giggle. She threw a wee stone for me with her grabber and I jumped on it ---the stone, that is!-- and killed it dead and that made her laugh so much that my DH came out to see what we were doing and do you know what he did? Yep, he shooked his head! I think he likes shaking his head.

Later on, she decided to do her jigsaw and I decided I would have a wee seat on it and warm it up for her and this is me doing what I really shouldn't be doing and that's why she has to keep all the little bits on this big board so that I don't run away with them or lose them. She would be a little bit cross if I did that.

It is while she was doing her jig saw that I got the biggest surprise ever. I was rootling about, sniffing in corners I hadn't sniffed in for a while and I found my little green ball again. Oh my dear friends, I was beside myself with joy and excitement. I haven't seen my little ball for months and months and I was almost delirious with joy as I chased it all over my living room while my MH watched me and smiled at me.

This picture shows a very tender moment between me and my little green ball when I realised it hadn't forgotten me. It almost brought a tear to my adorable little eyes.

So, I have had a brilliant day, and I hope you have a good day too.

Lots of Excitement

Although it was much later on in my day when I finally got my act together and started doing lots of funny things that had my humans laughing out loud. Let me explain.

My DH sprang out of bed as soon as the alarm went off and got himself ready to go to the Cat Shop and when the time was right, me and my MH got up and had a wee talk to him before he went away on the boat then we did a wee bit of housework and our exercises, but in between times, we had a seat and a cuddle on my couch. I had lots of sleeps --- some on my bed and some on the back of my couch --- and I was there when one of my MH's friends brought a big parcel from the boat and she came in and we all had a chat. There were lots of birdies at our feeder and my MH told my friend that I was such a good puss 'cos I never chased them. She did spoil it a wee bit when she said that I knew the birdies were too quick for me, but then that just shows how clever I am, sure it does?

In the afternoon, we started doing our jig saw and I am going to like it 'cos it is all about pussy cats and there are MILLIONS of them, and not one nearly as adorable as me. Naturally! I was a very good puss and stayed off the big board that all the bits were on, but I shall have a closer look later.

We worked at this until it was time for my DH to come home again and I suddenly wakened up and discovered I was full of energy. Like, absolutely FULL! I very politely asked my MH to play with me and she got her grabber and then got one of my toys and played with me for a while and I liked it. At one point I decided to let them see how fast I could run, so I dived off the chair, raced along the back of the couch, jumped onto my DH's chair, bounced off that and back across the couch again before I jumped off that and raced across the floor. Oh, did I mention that my DH was sitting on his chair at the time! Ooops. The old dear was nearly lying on the floor she was laughing so hard.

Me and my DH went round to our greenhouse for a wee while and I demonstrated another death-defying stunt which had him shaking his head in disbelief and he couldn't wait to get back inside to tell the Boss what her adorable Squeak had done. Do you want to know? Of course you do. I ran across the grass which was quite hard in itself 'cos it is quite splodgy 'cos it's wet, but my adorable little feets were going at a trillion miles an hour and then I spied the clothes pole! Yippee. I hardly drew breath and in two leaps I was at the top and then one HUGE leap saw me back on the ground again. I never stopped. I was awesome.

Oh my dear friends I was superb. I must find out if there are Olympics for puss cats 'cos I would certainly win the clothes pole climbing event. No bother!

Bits and Pieces

That's what my day has been. Full of little bits and pieces of good stuff and I have had another very happy day. Both my humans have been at home with me and we have had lots of time together just working a wee bit and playing a big bit.

My garden is very wet just now so my MH can just walk up and down my path so I go with her to make sure she doesn't get lost and she talks to me all the time we are walking, but I heard her telling my DH that she might start going into her little gym for a walk on the treadmill, so naturally, yours truly will be going with her to see that she is OK. We haven't been in there for a long time so I am getting a wee bit excited at the thought of all the new smells I might find. I shall tell you all about it whenever we go.

I hope you like today's picture. It is me modelling the new fashion for puss cats on my little island! Hee hee That was just a wee fib. It was really me being a little bit naughty today while my MH was fixing some of her pills for the week and when she tooked them out of the bag, I nipped inside. You all know how I love being inside carrier bags, but my MH is always watching me to make sure I am having a fun time and that I am safe, so don't worry about me.

I think I look even cuter that normal, don't you?

A Good Day

We have all had a good, back to normal day and it has been very fine. My DH went away on the boat to go to the Cat Shop and that is the first time he has been there since way before Christmas 'cos he hasn't been well and then when he was well he was looking after my MH, so I think he was a very happy DH on the boat.

Me and my MH had a good day and she has started to do some more of our housework so I just followed her round my house making sure she was fine---and she was. I even got a tickle or two from the feather duster and that made me chuckle a lot and my MH likes when I do that.

We still have to do our exercises and to be honest, my dear friends, I am going to be sorry when they stop 'cos I just love being able to lie on my MH's chest while her little legs are doing lots of work. It is then that we have lots of lovely chats which I just love, so I shall have to make sure that when the exercises aren't needed any more, she will still let me lie on her chest and purr for her.

We had some visitors this afternoon, but I nearly slept through and missed out on some cuddles. My MH's friends P. and M. came to see her and I was still on my little bed and I must have been sound asleep 'cos I didn't hear them until it was nearly time for them to go home, but I wakened up just in time to go through to my living room for a couple of big cuddles. Phew!

I would have been a cross puss if I had missed those. I must invent a visitor alarm in case it happens again.

Contraption

I like that word a lot. Contraption! Yes, that will be my favourite word for a long time I think. And here is the contraption that my MH uses to get her socks on now, and I can show it to you 'cos our water is back on again and she has clean feets. She uses this every morning and I sit and watch her and she listens to me purring while she is doing it and she likes that.

I have had a very good day today 'cos I lay beside my MH for a long time this morning when it was very dark. She had been at the toilet but came back to bed and I lay on her chest and we whispered for a long time so as not to waken my DH but the thing that I liked the bestest is that my MH told me again that she loved me and even in the dark I could see her smiling at me.

That was a great start to my day and then it got even better when my friends M. and S. came to my house to watch a film with me and my MH and although I had lots of cuddles from S. I spent most of the afternoon on my MH's knee and I was very comfortable.

When my friends went away, I am afraid I was a little bit naughty and I sat up on the table where I am not supposed to be, but my MH took this picture of me before she chased me off again.

So you can see that I have had a very good Sunday and I hope you have had a good day too.
