A Good Monday

My days just keep getting better and even the weather wasn't too bad so I have had a very good day.

We were all up quite early cos the old boy was going to the Cat Shop and when he is up, we are all up! So, oft he went and me and my MH had a seat while we decided what to do with our day although since it was Monday, she already knew 'cos the whole world knows that Monday in my house is cleaning day.

I went back to lie on my little bed while she hoovered and dusted but every now and then, she would come to me and give me a cuddle which was good. As soon as she was all finished and the vacuum and the dusters were all put away, we had another seat on my couch and I lay on her knee as she stroked my little lugs.I had quite a few trips outside and in some places there were wee drops of snow on my garden and the water outside was frozen so I didn't stay out too long but I enjoyed it while I was out. The sun was shining but the wind was cold, so I wandered round to the bits of my house that were sheltered and I wasn't frozed. Good thinking, eh?

In the afternoon, my MH invited me into the gym with her and it was here that I nearly came a-cropper 'cos I was still having a sniff on the treadmill just as she was setting off on a long walk! Oh dear, thank goodness I managed to get off just in time. Phew!

So, that has been my day and it has been a good one, so I am now resting until it is time to go out before bedtime.

Sleepy Sunday

Well, it was a bit sleepy early on but I did go out to play for a while and managed to have a good old hunt before the snowy shower came on. Every time I have gone out I come back in all speckled with little bits of snow and my MH said I was like a dalmation pussy cat and she said that would make me unique if I wasn't already unique, 'cos she said there isn't another pussy cat like me so that made me very pleased and I puffed out my adorable little chest.

I had to keep my DH company for a while this afternoon when my MH and her friend went to the graveyard and she was so very cold when she comed back to us that I had to give her a ginormous cuddle to warm her up again.

We then settled down on my couch to watch the tennis and it was a brilliant match but I think my MH has chewed all her fingers 'cos it was very exciting and there were lots of 'Oh Andy' coming from my humans and I just had to close my eyes. I wasn't sleeping, you understand, I just wasn't looking!

There was a big birdie at our feeder this morning and that's what today's pictures are. I sat on the window sill while he had a wee feed and then when he was all full up, he flied away and all the littler birds came for their dinner and I watched them too.

I like helping to feed the little birdies and because I know they are hungry, I don't chase them away. I think I am just the perfectest puss ever!

Another Good Day

I like Saturdays. I like all my days, but I think Saturday is my favourite day 'cos it is a very lazy day in my house and both my humans are here with me and have lots of time to play with me if I want. And I generally want!

It was a fine bright morning so I went outside for a long time and had a good old prowl around my estate which I just loved. There weren't many mouses out 'cos I think they are still all hibernating in the warm some where, but some of my birdie friends are coming back for their holidays. The sheeps that were outside my gate have all gone away into another field so I don't have them to talk to which is a bit of a shame.

I played with my MH on my carpet and I had great fun just running all over my living room and then I lay on the back of my couch while she played on her Wii. Then it was time for me to go outside again but this time I got rather a shock 'cos just as I was settling down for a good sniff in the long grass it started to snow, so I had to scoot back into my house before I becomed a snow-cat! I have been frozed enough times this winter, I don't want any more, thank you very much.

Fortunately, the snow didn't come to very much and so I will have my usual nocturnal perambulation before bedtime. And then it will be Sunday which is my second favouritist day 'cos it is nearly the same in my house as a Saturday. Nice and lazy with plenty of time for me.

Purr-fect---just purr-fect!

A Very Quiet Day

I was all alone for a while today as both my humans had to go away to Kirkwall but before they left, we had a family conference about what we would do with the window and when my MH opened it my living room got all cold, so I made the decision and just went back to bed and the window was closed.

They weren't away too long but when they comed home to me they were very cold, so I did to my MH what she does to me when I come in---I gave her a big cuddle and she warmed up ---just like that! I gave my DH a big purr and that helped him too and then I nipped outside for a minute or two but it was very cold, so I didn't stay out long. Besides,I had a lot of cuddles to catch up on so I sat on the old dear's knee and she told me all the things they had done and I was very happy again.

We have a new big boat on loan to take people from Orkney to Scotland and I thought you might like to see it. Our usual boat is away for something called a refit but I have no idea what that is and since I have no intention of ever going on the boat, I don't really care.

Do you know WHY I have no intention of going on it? 'Cos they make pussy cats and doggies go in CAGES! It is bad enough going in my cage when I have to go to the v-e-t but I am definitely not spending two hours on a boat in a cage and that's a fact!

Normally I am a very easy going little puss, but there are times when I do put my paws down, and that is one of them! And this puss is not for turning!!

Much Livlier

I have been very full of beans today, but not the beans that you eat. No, the beans that make you jump up and down and have good fun. A question. How do I get full of these beans if I don't eat them?

Anyway, no matter how I got them, they were there and they have made me have a very good day. The weather has been much brighter and so I have been able to get out to play a lot of times. I even had quite a few jumps through my fence to make sure that all my dinners are not making me too fat to do that, but I don't need to worry 'cos there is still plenty of room for me to get through, so I am happy.

I had lots of runs round my garden but the grass is still very damp so my adorable little feets were very wet when I went back inside and my MH noticed that when I plonked myself on her knee! I had a long seat on her knee this afternoon which I liked and she told me she could hear me snoring and she said it was so cute it made her smile.

I went into the gym with her and did a wee bit of sniffing there until she was finished and then when we went outside, she tooked some pictures of my little island for you and I hope you like them.

My humans have to go into Kirkwall tomorrow so I will be left on my own. I am just hoping that the weather will be good enough for them to leave the window open for me to nip in and out if I feel like it.

Still Very Quiet

I am very well and I am very happy, but I am not doing very much at all especially through the day times, but I do brighten up at night times, much to the annoyance of my humans 'cos sometimes I stay out very late when my DH wants to get to his bed.Oops!

Anyway, today was a normal Wednesday Chez Squeak and my DH sailed away to the Cat Shop and me and the old dear settled down on my couch for one of our girlie chats which I just love. She told me she was going to change all the bedding again and of course I leapt at the chance to help her. I leapt onto the beds. I leapt into the duvet covers and I leapt into the pillow slips while she was trying to stuff the pillows into them. Oh, my dear friends I had a brilliant time and I think my MH liked it too 'cos she laughed a lot. When she was finished, I just settled down on my bed and had a wee snooze 'cos all the excitement had made me a bit sleepy. And I had a nice clean bed!

Later in the afternoon while my MH was playing on her Wii, I went into the garden but just for a little while. It was too cold to stay out so I just went home again and sat on my couch while my MH stroked my adorable little lugs and I purred very loudly to tell her I liked it.

I got a bit of a surprise just before dinner time 'cos one of the little childrens came to my house so that my MH could show her how to play her guitar. It was quite good so I didn't have to disappear which was good 'cos it had got very wet outside and I have decided that if I have to get wet, then it shall be when I go out at night time.

That is still my very special time and I don't mind getting rained 'cos I love being out in the dark especially when I know that as soon as it all gets too much for me, I can shoot home as fast as these adorable little paws can carry me and after a wee feed and a wee drink I can snuggle up beside my MH till morning.

Oh yes. Life is quiet but it is very, very good!

Ho Hum

My DH was supposed to be going into Kirkwall today to do some shopping for himself, but when he wakened up he could hear the rain outside and he decided just to stay in his little bed for a wee while longer and then stay at home with me and the old dear. And I can't say I blame him. It has not been a very nice day and yours truly has been having quite a few snoozes too, although not just as many as yesterday.

I am a lot brighter today and have had a couple of trips outside---AND---I haven't been as hungry which is maybe just as well 'cos my MH told me if I kept on eating the way I did yesterday, then I might get stuck in my fence the next time I tried to jump through it!

Oh, my dear friends, can you imagine the embarrassment of it all if that happened. There I would be with half of me in my garden and the other half out and the middle if me stuck in the fence. Can you picture the look on the faces of all the sheeps? I think they would all be laughing at me. So, I have decided to watch what I am doing with this adorable little body and I shall keep it as perfect as I possibly can. It might even mean a trip to the gym with my MH and while she is on her bike, I could be on her treadmill. A good idea, don't you think?

Remember I told you that I hoped to get out last night before bedtime? Well, I managed it three times and only once did I get so wet I was almost dripping and it took my DH a lot of rubbing to make me dry again when I went home. But he managed it. Good old DH!

As it is still raining, I think he might have to do it all again tonight. Ah well, it makes him feel needed. Sure it does?
