A Funny Day
.... but a good day. It is getting a bit better in my house and I have sent you a couple of 'before and after' pictures of the painting that my humans have been doing. The 'after' picture isn't it all finished yet, but you can see what they have been doing and hopefully I will be able to show you the room all finished tomorrow.
Anyway, back to my 'funny' day. My MH's alarm went off at half past seven in this morning and she got up early 'cos she was going to the dentist, so we both got up and had a very early breakfast and then I nipped out to see what was happening on my little island and even then, it was quite warm so I had a leisurely stroll round my estate before I went back inside again.
I was just settling into another good snooze when my DH's alarm went off and we both got up and I got another wee feed from him. I didn't tell him that I already had my breakfast! Well, I didn't want to hurt his feelings. So, he went away to the Cat Shop and I went out to play again and I was a wee bit sad 'cos I was going to be on my own all day, but then I noticed the little kangaroo coming up the path and my MH was home again! Oh I was a happy Squeak.
We had a seat and a chat and then she started to tidy up the study and put some things back so I just spent the afternoon nipping in and out to see how she was getting on---and she was doing fine. One time we were having a rest in my living room and we noticed the mummy cow and her little babies right outside my window so she tooked these pictures for you. She said she just wished she could send you a sound picture 'cos when the mummy cow saw her taking pictures of the little baby cows, she made the loudest 'moo' sound you even heard. I was a wee bit frightened but my MH cuddled me and I wasn't scared any more. They are lovely little cows but the mummy can be a bit angry at times so I shall have to be careful if I go near them.
Later on my DH comed home again and then the little childrens came back for guitar lesson and I lay on my couch and listened to them. They are not too bad now, but the bit I like the best is when they cuddle me. One of them wanted to take me home but my MH said a great big NO, and we all know why, don't we?
'Cos she loves me MILLIONS!

A Tad Fed-Up
I suppose you will have worked out that the painting is still going on in my house and I am not the centre of attention as I should be. Oh, I got a few cuddles and there was time for a wee seat on my MH's knee when she was having a rest, but it was not at all as it should have been. I do understand of course. I am just that kind of puss, but I am not happy.
We had our usual morning with the old dear sitting on the couch and me sitting on the old dear until she had finished her breakfast. I got my wee drop of milk and then headed out to play 'cos it was warm although a bit windy, but I was quite happy playing. There are two little baby cows in the field in front of my living room and if my MH isn't too busy tomorrow I will ask her to take a picture of them for you. They are lovely and I think I shall have a chat with them when I am out for my nightly sojourn.
I was out for a long time and got quite a surprise when I plopped back in through the window 'cos my DH was busy painting the study and my MH was painting in the big cupboard, so I just wandered back into my living room and had a snooze on the back of my couch. Sigh!
My DH is off to the Cat Shop tomorrow so he won't be painting and my MH told me that she will be putting the stuff back into the study so she won't be painting either, so she told me that there will be lots of time for me and that is just fine and dandy in my book, thank you very much!

Another Monday
... and not the greatest Monday for yours truly. Not too bad but not as good as it should have been. Remember I told you that my humans were starting to do some painting? Well, when my DH nipped away to the Cat Shop I decided that they had changed their minds, but then I looked into the study and it was all upside down with all the furniture not where the furniture should have been and I realised that I might just be wrong.
Then I saw my MH getting the paint and the brushes and the step ladder all ready and I knew I was definitely wrong! She disappeared into the study and started painting all the white wood and I just lay on the back of my couch and had a rest until she was finished. I didn't go to see her 'cos I knew there wasn't a lot of room for me and I didn't want to end up white and shiny. I prefer being black and shiny! Hee hee
She was there for a while but finally she came out and when her little hands were all clean she came right to me and gave me a great big cuddle so I forgived her for neglecting me. However, I am going to have to suffer the same neglect tomorrow 'cos there is still more painting to do. Ho hum.
I guess I will just have to get used to it until it is all finished and then I shall make sure I get all the cuddles due to me.

Scintillating Sunday
I am still on the 's' page, but I don't know what page I will get to tomorrow! Watch this space. We didn't need to get up too early 'cos the painting hasn't started yet. The magic plan in my house is that my MH will start painting the gloss work while my DH is having a rest at the Cat Shop, so I think I shall have to be very careful when I ask for a cuddle.
As soon as we had finished our breakfast my MH went out and did her grass feeling routine again, but decided it was too wet to cut it, so we just sat for a while together on my couch and had a wee chat which I liked. After lunch time, she went away out to do some crafty things with her friends and me and my DH just sat and had a rest, which was just as well 'cos as soon as the Boss came home, she felt the grass again and decided it was dry enough now so the lawn mower comed out and me and her ran all over the garden behind it.
Well, she was more behind it than me. I was sort of at the side of it---like on the path or sitting on the benches watching her. But I know that makes her happy and then when she is finished I always have a roll on the new cut grass and I like that, so it was OK by me that she cut my grass after all.
I hope I will be able to write to you tomorrow but it will depend on whether or not the Boss is too tired, although she usually is NEVER too tired for this adorable little Squeak.

Scintillating Saturday
I am on the 'S' page of my dictionary! I have had a simply super Saturday and have loved every single second of it. Enough? OK!
We have all had a good, easy day with just a little bit of work for my humans and a visit to my friend S.'s house for my MH while I looked after the old boy and made sure he didn't do anything wrong --- and he didn't. Phew.
I played outside lots of times and it was still quite warm on my little island so I always managed to find a warm spot to snuggle down in and just lay and listened and I liked it a lot. One time when I comed home my DH was taking all the furniture out of our study and I didn't know what was going on, but when I sat on my MH's knee I heard my humans saying that they were going to start painting it next week, so I guess there won't be a lot of time for me and if I get too close to my MH I might end up a lovely shade of pale blue! Oh dear.
We are all settling gown now to watch Andy playing tennis and we all want him to win so everything is crossed for him. When he is finished I shall head outside again and see if it is still quite warm and I can settle down outside before bedtime.
Yep. I like my Saturdays and I hope you have had a good day too.

Fantabulous Friday
Oh I do like Fridays. Well, I like most of my days but some are just a smidgeon better that other ones and Fridays are normally super duper.
It started off a good day with the postman bringing a parcel that was just for me and then as soon as I had gobbled up my breakfast I was out to play. Why is it that sleeping always makes me hungry? Anyway, I filled up my adorable little tum and went to have a wee chat with my birdie friends and when we were having a wee blether my MH tooked this picture for you. I think this is a very pretty birdie, don't you?
Both my humans went out for a while as my DH had to go to the pier to collect our boxes and my MH was going to see my friend S.'s puss 'cos she is away her holidays and my MH goes to keep the pussy cat from getting lonely and then she comes back to me and gives me lots of cuddles.
While she was putting away all the messages me and my DH played with the string and I had super fun. I just love playing with the string but only if there is a human at the end if it! It's not the same if I do it myself so I always ask my humans to play and of course they always do.
We played for a while and then I had a seat on my MH before I nipped up onto the back of my couch for my siesta.
Well, a puss gets tired having fun!

Intrepid Squeak
I have been just a tad naughty this morning and I nearly got into trouble---- but I didn't! Me and my MH got up this morning and as usual, I nipped up onto my window sill to see what the day was like and I knew it was windy 'cos the pampas grass was shaking a lot so I decided to try the door and see if that was better, so the old dear had to stop eating her breakfast and come with me to the door, but I decided it was just the same and I went back into my living room with my MH following me and muttering to herself----well, I wasn't listening! Hee hee
I really wanted out but I didn't want to get blowed about so I tried a couple of times and then I went into my secret hiding place and I found my intrepidness and then I asked my DH to let me out and when he opened the door, I just nipped out first time! My MH wasn't best pleased but my DH told her she didn't open the door properly for me and he knew how to do it. He was just joking I think!
I stayed out for a while as the vacuum was racing all over my house and it was safer outside, but once it was quiet, I went back inside again and chose one of my many snoozing places for a little nap. And that was my day really. In for some snoozes and cuddles and then outside for wee whiles at a time 'cos it was still windy, but then in the afternoon it quietened down and I was able to stay out much longer until the little midges decided they wanted to play with me and I said 'no thank you' and went inside again.
I am hoping that by the time I am ready to go back out tonight all the midges will have gone to bed. I have just got rid of the pesky swallows so I don't want to be troubled by the pesky midges, do I? No indeed!
