A Funny Monday

I was a bit confuddled today --that is one of my MH's words that I like the sound of. My DH got ready to go to the Cat Shop and that was fine 'cos that's what he usually does, but my MH went away with him as well and I didn't like that very much at all. I had been outside for a while, but I was told to come in 'cos the window had to be shut before they went away and this time I did as I was told.

I decided just to settle down and have a snooze but then in just a little while my MH comed back again. She told me that she just needed a haircut and now she was back to look after me and that made me very happy.

She did a wee bit of housework but there was always lots of time for me and that was good.I had been having a snooze on the chair and then I decided to sit on the window sill and look out the window and it was then that I got a big surprise 'cos the field was filled with all these geeses. Lots and lots of ginormous geeses! I was staring so hard that my MH came to see what was wrong and she tooked this picture for you and I hope you like it.

We were all hoping to see the big moon but I am afraid my little island was all covered in cloud so we didn't, but my little weather man friend said maybe we could see it tomorrow so my little paws are crossed.

Oh Dear...

...I am afraid I have been a tad naughty today and I came very close to making my MH a wee bit angry with me which has never happened before and I think I had better be careful that it doesn't happen again.

It wasn't the bestest day for weather on my little island 'cos it kept raining so I went out a few times this morning when it wasn't too bad. My MH went away out for a while to see my friend S. and that's when it got very much wetter and it was then that I wanted to go out so I asked my DH and of course he opened the door but as soon as I felt the raindrops on my adorable little body, I was back on my couch before he could get the door shut! Now, if I tell you that this happened about three or four times you might begin to understand why I was in trouble.

So, when the old dear comed home to me, my DH told her what I had been doing and while he was doing that, yours truly headed to the door again and this time my MH opened it. And guess what? Yep. I did the same thing again---three times!! Well, it was wet!

I decided it would be safer to go out when I heard her telling my DH that if I asked again and didn't go, she would put me out. Now, can you imagine the indignity of that? What if some of my little friends saw me being thrown out of my house? I could never hold my head up again. So, I asked. The door was opened and I walked out with my head held high!

Problem solved!

Good Times

I am a lucky puss. I know that and I like that. It will soon be my birthday again and I know I will have a lovely time but just knowing that my humans love me so much is nearly enough for me. 'Nearly', 'cos I do love getting presents and surprises! I have been doing a wee bit of thinking today and that's why I am sounding a wee bit serious.

I have been in and out a lot of times and I went outside with my MH when she was going away to do crafty things and I was outside again to meet her when she comed home to me and she liked that a lot.

My MH has sended you a couple of pictures of our little island. The one with the sunshine was taken on Thursday morning when she was going away early and the one of the moon was taken today when she comed home and she thought you might like to see them.

Me and the old dear are settling down now to watch the dancing and I am looking forward to that. I hope you are having a good weekend too.

A Good Friday

I have had a very good day mainly because both my humans have been with me today for the en-tire day, but you will never guess what I did! I forgot it was Friday and I went for a big sleep while my MH was doing some of the work that she didn't do yesterday and I forgot it was messages day so I didn't get up in time to play with the string! DOH! Silly Squeak.

Really it was my MH's fault 'cos she muddled me up doing housework on a Friday, but I think she knowed that, 'cos when I finally did get up, she played with me for a while so that was OK. I don't know why I was so sleepy 'cos me and my MH had a very good sleep last night. The poor old dear was tired, so I just snuggled in beside her and didn't disturb her through the night time and she appreciated that. I know this 'cos she told me she loved me millions, so there.

It has been quite a good day but my little weather man friend told me it is going to get windy through the night so I think I had better go out to play early before the wind comes. My poor DH was all disappointed 'cos he was going to go over to Stromness tonight to have some beer while he watched the football, but because the weather might be bad, the boat was cancelled. Shame. I am sure I saw a wee tear in his little eye, but he can watch it here with me and he won't get blowed about.

Sure that is a much better idea? I think so but I don't know if he really agrees with me. Shame!

I'm Just a Lonely Puss...

...well, I wasn't really THAT lonely 'cos my DH was here with me but my MH was away from early till late and I missed her.

We had a very good sleep last night and we were both quite tired but the poor old dear was up at half past seven o'clock in this morning 'cos she had to go to Kirkwall and she didn't come home till half past six in the tonight so it was a long day for her and a long day for me without her, but I got lots of cuddles when she comed home again.

So. You will have worked out that I don't have any news for you except that I have had a very good day. The weather has been lovely and I have had great fun being outside all day.My DH told the old dear that he had hardly seen me 'cos I had been outside so much but now I am inside and sitting on my MH's knee while she is writing this for you.

I will have lots more news for you tomorrow 'cos both my humans will be at home with me. Yippee!

A Very Quiet Day

I was a bit disappointed this morning 'cos there was no snow in my garden. Sigh. It was just wet and a lot windy so we all stayed indoors for most of the day. I did manage out a few times but I had to decide first whether to go out of the door or out of the window and that tooked me a long time much to my MH's frustration 'cos she had to keep opening the window and the door for me so that I could make a big decision.

My humans sat up very late last night watching something on my television so they were a bit tired today and my MH even had to go for a little snooze in the afternoon and, being a very kind and considerate little puss, I went with her and snuggled up to make her nice and cosy. We both had a good sleep.

She told me she has to go to Kirkwall tomorrow and me and my DH have to be left all on our own for the whole day, so I am not very happy. In fact, I am thinking of trying my wind and rain dance again to keep her at home with me.

I shall have to have a think about that one, but I shall let you know.

A Wee Secret

I was listening to my little weather man friend today and I got a wee bit excited 'cos he told me it might be snowing on my little island soon and I love the snow so you can understand if I am excited and impatient.

I haven't seen very much snow but a long time ago when I was a baby puss, there was some snow that lasted for a while and I liked out playing in it although my adorable little paws did get very cold. What I liked the very bestest was that my humans would take me out to play and I helped them shovel away all the snow from our path so I am hoping we all do that again. Watch this space. I will let you know as soon as it happens.

I was out very late last night and I am afraid I upset my DH 'cos he wanted to go to bed and I wouldn't come in. It was too wet and windy to leave the window open so he was a big bit annoyed at me but I am afraid I was busy waiting for a little mouse to come out of its hiding place so that I could play with it, but for some reason said little mouse stayed hiding and this little puss stayed out until my DH comed out and lifted me inside! Oh the shame of it. Still, the old boy was tired, so I can't really blame him. I didn't like it though. Hee hee

We have all had a good day and I haven't done very much. I did nip out this morning to see if I could find my little mouse, but he had gone away somewhere, so I shall have to look again tonight. It is very cold, so I think I will come home early because I am in danger of getting locked out one of these nights and that would never do would it?

I think I shall be a good puss tonight ..... unless.......!
