Smiling

I have been smiling and purring all day as I have just been the happiest little puss in the en-tire world and it is all because my two humans have been with me the whole day. The weather hasn't been too bad so I have been able to go out to play lots of times and every time I nipped in my window, I could find my MH right away and she always had a cuddle in her pocket for me and I have been happy, happy, happy!

I even got two brilliant surprises which made my perfect day even perfecter. The nice farmer man from next door came to see my DH and he brought his big tractor with him, so yours truly went exploring again climbing up the wheels and looking into the driving bit. Next time it comes, I am going right inside and maybe the nice tractor driver man will take me for a ride--or as my MH says-- 'a hurl'. That would be the brilliantest thing ever!

My next surprise was when my very bestest friend S. came to see me and again, she brought a great big cuddle with her, so I have been very well cuddled today which I like. It was after she went away that my MH tooked these action shots of yours truly as I was sitting on the gate post and then jumping down again. I hope you like them.

Later in the afternoon, the old dear decided to change the beds again and I made her laugh out loud when I decided to be a big game hunter and kill something on my DH's bed. I was sitting on my MH's little bed and I got myself all ready to pounce at an imaginary HUGE monster just lurking nearby. I went through all the motions. Stare at it until it is petrified with fear; pin adorable lugs back onto equally adorable little head; wriggle simply delightful little bum then lift one front paw and SPRING, landing on said monster and killing it very, very dead. The next step in this brilliant game was to hop back onto my MH's bed and do it all over again and by this time, the old dear was laughing so loudly my DH had to come and see what I was doing so I had to do it all again. Sure I did? Well, you couldn't have him feeling left out now, could you?

So I hope you will understand why my day has been so good and I hope yours has been good too.

Only the Lonely

My MH likes Roy Orbison and she plays that song lots and lots and that's what I was singing to my adorable little self today 'cos they were away again and I was left at home all alone! But I did make them change their minds about one thing. When they got up this morning, my humans decided that it was too windy to leave the window open and it dawned on me very quickly that I would be stuck indoors for hours and hours and I decided that I was definitely not having that. So, just as they were leaving I scooted out the door and wouldn't come back in, so my DH had to go back into my house and open the window. Yes! One up for Squeak.

As it turned out, the wind went away and it was really quite nice after all and I was in and out lots and lots of times, but I was sitting on the chair in my kitchen when I heard the little kangaroo coming back and I patiently waited for all the cuddles I knew I would get, and they made me feel a whole lot better.

So that has been my day and it has not been too brilliant, but I have been promised that the humans will be at home all day tomorrow and that tomorrow is officially Squeak day in my house, so I have to go now and start writing my list of all the things I want them to do.

I don't think I will get much sleep tonight! Hee hee

Big Sighs

Oh dear. I have been neglected and I have to be more neglected tonight 'cos my humans are going out. Ho hum! My Dh had to do to the Cat Shop today and my MH was helping to decorate the Hall for the island Halloween Party which is tonight and that's where they are both going and , as usual, I can't go. Ho hum again!

This is the night when they get all dressed up and go away out and to be honest, when they look so different, I am quite glad they go out, but I do miss their company. However, my MH has said she will make it all up to me tomorrow with lots of attention and cuddles, so I won't complain too much.

I did tell her she would be missing 'Strictly' and I could see she nearly changed her mind, but since she helps with all the games, she really HAS to go. And she told me she would tape it and tomorrow afternoon me and her would settle down on my couch and watch it together, so I am happy with that idea.

So because of all that, I don't have any news at all, but I will ask the old dear to put some pictures of them on for you as long as you won't be too frightened. Hee hee

A Better Day

I didn't have the best of days yesterday 'cos my DH was away to the Cat Shop and my MH was busy helping to decorate the Hall on my little island for the Halloween party and I couldn't go and had to stay home all alone. And to make it even worse, the wind was blowing right in my living room, so the window had to be closed. I had no other choice except sleep which I did till she came home again.

My DH came home but then after a wee while, they both got dressed up for Halloween and off they went again leaving yours truly on my couch with the window shut. AGAIN! Not happy. I was not happy 'cos I am not used to being shut in and I do not like it. I have sent you a couple of pictures of how my humans looked last night. Oh dear, I am so glad that this Halloween thing only happens once a year and I am VERY happy that us cats are not expected to dress us. Fortunately, they are back to normal again today which is fine.

So, although today has been a bit better, I still have been a bit lonely because the humans were away out again this afternoon when the Lifeboat people came to my little island with their mascot doggie, so I knew I had to stay at home again, but what made it a bit better was that the wind had gone away and I could get out to play. And, they weren't away too long which was very fine.

I am very happy that this weekend is finished, although I have just been told that I am to be left all alone tomorrow for the whole day as they are going shopping. I am saying nothing just now in the hope that they bring me something lovely home with them, but I hope we get back to normal very soon.

I am just not used to being left on my own and I do not like it at all. Sigh!

Play Times

I have had lots of play times today--- inside and out and I have been very busy. I was outside rather early this morning and it was fine and dry so I stayed out for a very long time and wandered through all my favourite places before I went home to see what my humans were doing.

They were both sitting in my living room just waiting for me to come home so I sat with my MH and drinked up my breakfast milk while she stroked my little lugs. She did some ironing so I sat up at the sink and watched her. She put a wee drop of water into the basin for me and I played with that for a while. I sit at the side of the sink and just swish the water with my little paw and it makes bubbles which I try to catch. I have great fun doing this and I stayed there all the time she was ironing.

Our next job was to put the ironing away and when she was finished doing that, we played hide and Squeak and I dived under my blanket which is always on top of my bed and I purred really loudly when my MH wrapped me up and tickled me. I love that game, but at the end of it, I always fall asleep and so my MH just goes away and leaves me sleeping all wrapped up and she says she thinks I look adorable and I am very much inclined to agree!

I had another play outside for a while and then I helped my MH make up all the bags for halloween tomorrow. There is a party in the Hall tomorrow night for all the humans and my MH leads all the games, so we had lots to do this afternoon and I watched as she filled all the bags with things for the little children and then I sat on her knee as she told me all the things they would be doing. I like all the little children on my island and sometimes I wish I could play the games with them, but I'm afraid animals are not allowed. Even adorable little ones such as I.

But, being a very special puss, I understand!

Good Fun

I have had another very good day and I have a story for you which I hope you will like. But, it has to be a secret just between you and me 'cos if my dear old MH knew, she would be quite upset and she wouldn't do it again which would be a great shame.

My day started off as usual with a quick wander round my garden to see how things were and when I saw that all was well, I went back in for my wee drop of milk and then I had a seat on my MH's knee for a wee chat which made me very happy. A while later, we went out to feed the birdies and even before we had got back into my house, there was a great big queue of little hungry birdies having a feed and a chat and I just sat on my window sill watching them. I am happy that my humans give them some dinner and my humans are happy that I am kind to these little birdies.

Later in the afternoon, my MH decided to play on her Wii and I lay on the couch watching her and it was then that I saw one of the funniest things I have ever seen. She was playing golf and lots of times she wriggled her bum like I wriggle mine, but I can tell you that it was nowhere as adorable as when I do it, but oh my dear friends it was so, so funny. I started off smiling, then I had a giggle, but by the time she was finished her round of golf I was so helpless with laughter that I nearly fell off my couch. I am still laughing when I think about it. :-)))

Oh, I hope she does it again tomorrow and if I can ever learn how to work her camera, I will show you and you can smile too.

A Very Lazy Day

It has not been a bad day, but it has not been a very good day either, and definitely not my usual Wednesday day. The morning bit was the same, as my humans went away in the little kangaroo so that my MH could take the old boy to the boat and that was fine 'cos I just waited till she came home again, which wasn't too long.

When she did come home, we had a long seat on my couch just talking about this and that, but nothing very serious and we had plenty of time as she wasn't doing any housework and it was very fine. I was extremely comfortable on her knee getting my adorable little lugs scratched---or as they say on my little island---itched. I got my little lugs itched and it was just beautiful.

So, all was well until just after lunch time when she told me she was going out for the afternoon to visit one of my friends and because the wind was blowing, she couldn't leave the window open for me. Ho hum. So, I am afraid I spent the rest of my afternoon snoozing on various seats in my house with my only exercise moving from one room to another.

However as soon as the old dear came back, I assumed my rightful position on her knee as she told me all the things she had done in the afternoon and I listened very carefully before I told her I was a tad on the hungry side and would she please stop talking and feed me. I don't do it often, but sometimes I just have to be masterful. Especially when my adorable little tummy is empty! Hee hee.

It is still rather windy, but I shall endeavour to wander outside once I have had my evening snooze. I am not really tired, but it is my routine and if I don't do that then the humans might think there is something wrong with me and I wouldn't like to worry them!
