So

My poor old DH jumped up when his alarm went off this morning and to be honest, my dear friends, we all got a bit of a shock, but me and my MH stayed in our wee bed until he got ready and then he got a message on his phone to say that because the weather was so terrible, the boat might not be able to come and get him. Oh, he was a wee bit sad, 'cos he was all ready and was quite excited about going back to the Cat Shop.

To be honest, me and my MH were a wee bit disappointed too 'cos we had our day all worked out and it involved lots of seats on the couch and lots of cuddles from her to me. That bit was OK though and we even managed a wee play with my toys so I was very happy.

It was another inside day 'cos there is a great big wind blowing and my little weather man friend says it will be worser tomorrow, so I am seriously considering hibernating till about Sunday!

I did get a wee surprise when my friend M. came to see me this afternoon and we all had a lovely chat which was good. I will probably go out later but only for about five minutes 'cos after that amount of time my adorable little body gets cold and I need a cuddle from my MH to make it better again.

I just LOVE those cuddles.

A Surprise Day

I was just trying to settle down into a normal routine again after all the excitement of Christmas when I got a big surprise, so maybe Christmas hasn't gone too far away from my little island yet.

It wasn't too bad a day when we got up but it was a wee bit blowy and still a bit wet, so I contented my adorable little self with sitting on the window sill---in the inside--- watching the birdies who were on the outside. Do birdies not mind getting wet? I must ask them sometime.

I nipped in and out and watched my dear old MH who was doing some housework and then we all sat in my living room in this afternoon and that's when I got my surprise 'cos my friend A. came to see me and he brought our friend E. who is his granny. I like E. She is the oldest lady on my island and she has lots of cats and she loves them all, but she still has a wee bit of love left for me so I gave her a special purr and she smiled.

I'm afraid I was a bit of a show-off and I ringed my chimes for E. so that she could see what a clever puss I was and I asked my MH to play with me and my toys, which she did, and that made everybody laugh.

My friend A. is going away back to university tomorrow but he will be back to look after me in the summer when my humans are going away on holiday, so I am sure we will all have good fun, although I really do think it is time for them to be settling down to stay at home and be with me.

I shall have a word with the old dear when the time is right.

Play Day Monday

I am still having the bestest of fun but all my decorations and my tree have been put away in the loft again till next year. I was a wee bit sad to see them going away, but I asked my MH to play with me to cheer me up again and she did. We both laid down on the floor and played with all my toys and I had very good fun.

It has been a bad day for weather on my little island and I haven't been out for more that half a minute at a time 'cos then I get rained on and blowed about and I don't like it, so I knock on the window and ask to be let in again---quickly!

I have decided that if the weather stays like this, then I shall be an indoor puss cat and just play with the old dear and I know that will keep her happy too. I will probably play with my DH tomorrow 'cos he is going to go back to the Cat Shop on Wednesday so I will spoil him a wee bit tomorrow.

I know he will like that.

Sunday Again

I think Christmas time is nearly over in my house 'cos I heard my humans saying that they might take down my tree and all the decorations again. I am a bit sad 'cos I love my little tree and I have had super fun during this holiday time but my MH says that all my fun will continue even though everything else is back in the boxes and up in the loft till next year.

I have been indoors nearly all day as it has been wet and very windy and it has to be a bit worser later on so I shall have to decide whether to go out the door or the window or just stay in my house. I am having a snooze as I am thinking.

I had good fun with my MH as she was changing the beds again and she tickled me lots and lots and then I hid under my blanket and had my first snooze of the afternoon. My DH has been working with his meccano set and he is a very happy DH and he said that when it is all builded up, I can show you his wheel and he thinks it won't be too much longer so I am looking forward to that.

So, that's all the news for just now but I shall tell you more tomorrow, but I hope you are all back to normal too.

A New Year

... but the same Squeak. I have had a lovely time and I hope you have had a good time too. I like the number 2016 and I think it will be a good year for us all.

My humans went away out on Thursday night to the nice farmer man next door 'cos he and the nice farmer lady always have a party for all the islanders to see in the new year. It was a bit blowy so the window had to stay closed so I wasn't able to hear all the boats in the harbour when they all let off their horns and hooters at midnight, but my MH said it was quite a sound and she liked it lots. They didn't stay out too long and when they came home, I got a great big new year's cuddle which made me very happy.

I did something today that I have never done before and it made my humans gasp with surprise, but I won't be allowed to do it again. My MH had put some crisps and nibbles on our coffee table and as I was walking past it, I got a sniff of something that I liked but had never sniffed before, so I nipped up onto the table to see what it was and I discovered----Twiglets!! oh, I am in love! Not so much with the taste, more with the smell, 'cos my MH gave me a tiny, tiny but which I licked but didn't eat. My humans had to put them out of my reach and they think there might be catnip in them. Hee hee

It was indeed a very happy new year for me and I have been playing with my MH and my toys today and have had a lovely time and she has promised that the rest of this year will be good fun too.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

What a Night!

My dear little weather man friend was very right when he told us that there was going to be a big gale on my little island. It was the biggest one for a long time and I didn't like it at all. I just snuggled up on the couch beside my MH and hoped it would go away, but it waited until this afternoon before it blew away to somewhere else.

Last night, while it was blowing, my MH went away to have her shower and 'cos it was nearly bed-time, she put our blanket on and a wee while later the naughty wind blew all our lights off and we just went to bed, but at least it was a wee bit warm. The lights came on later so my house didn't get cold too much, but I snuggled up as close as I could get. I wasn't taking any chances!

When we got up this morning, we had a look to see if there was any damage, but everything seemed to be fine except for this old car which got the bonnet blowed right up. MY DH says he will need help to get it down again. And we lost a dustbin. It was outside with a great big concrete block inside it to stop it from blowing away, but the bin and the concrete are nowhere to be seen. Oh deary me!!

Needless to say, I stayed in my house nearly all of the day, but as it is a lot less blowy tonight, I shall venture out before bedtime.

I don't know if I will be able to write to you tomorrow or the next day, but me and my humans would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy new year and I will look forward to telling you all about my adventures in 2016.
