A Very Quiet Day

For some reason I have been a bit tired today. Or maybe I have just been a bit lazy, but whatever it is, I have spent a lot of my time on top of my little bed cuddled up in my blanket and oh so very comfortable.

I played with my MH for a while this morning and then sat on my couch till she was finished her work, and then I asked her to play with me in our bedroom, and she did. She covered me all up in my blanket and tickled me then cuddled me and I just loved it, but when she had to go away, I just sort of stayed there and fell asleep, but every now and then, she came in to see me and she just stroked me and left me in peace. It was very lovely.

This probably means that I will have lots of energy for going out to play later on. It is quite nice on my little island and so I think I will be able to stay out quite late and that might upset my DH a wee bit 'cos sometimes when he calls for me, I pretend that I don't hear him and I don't go home which means that he can't get to bed 'cos we can't leave the window open at night time yet, so he gets a wee bit annoyed, but as usual, he forgives me.

I know that is a bit naughty, but us puss cats are allowed to be a wee bit naughty once in a while. Sure we are?

So Much Better

I have had a crackin' day. There has been lots to do and I have had oodles of attention from my MH 'cos the old boy has been away to the Cat Shop. Our day started off as usual with me sitting on my MH's knee until it was time for my little drop of milk and then I hit the great outdoors to see what was happening on my little island.

The weather was fine and even though the grass is still a wee bit wet, it was fine for me to play on and I ran and ran for a long time till I was a bit tired then I nipped in through the window, found myself a nice cosy knee and had a snooze for a while. Oh bliss!

In the afternoon, my MH asked if I wanted to go into the gym and off we went. I sat and watched her for a wee while, but then I went outside again and just lay on my path watching the birdies until she was finished, and then I asked her to play and we had brilliant fun.

She found a bit off the pampas grass and threw it for me and it was so high that I had to jump up and I am sure I was nearly as high as my house. That is maybe just a wee exaggeration, but I was very, very high. I nearly bumped into a starling who was flying over to my bird feeder.I have just got a funny picture in my head! Can you imagine the look on that little birdie's face if I HAD bumped into him? Oh, I am giggling! :-))

My MH tooked some pictures for you and if you think I am sleeping in one of them, then you are wrong. I am getting ready to pounce, and my little eyes are closed as I go over my routine in my head. Crouch---tick. Lugs pinned back----tick. Wriggle adorable little bum---tick. Spring and kill!

I did this lots of times as the old dear kept throwing the grass for me and it was just the bestest fun in the en-tire world, and I was so, so happy. I am a very lucky puss, am I not?

Much Better

Yes, my day has been a whole lot better than yesterday and I suppose you will all know why? 'Cos my humans were at home with me and spent most of the day making sure I was a very happy puss---which I was!

Even the weather was a bit better and it didn't rain until after dinner time, so I was able to get out to play whenever I wanted to. My little weather man friend was back on my television and he told me he would try and make some good weather for me, so that made me happy as well.

Me and my MH went through our normal breakfast routine which is I have my breakfast first and then she settles down on my couch with her bowl of cereal and fruit and as soon as I am filled up, I nip out of the window, but I don't go too far away, so that I can hear when she is finished and that is the signal for me to pop back in the window again to get the last wee drop of milk in her dish. I normally sit on her knee for a while and she tells me what she is going to do and to day had to be housework that she didn't do yesterday, but I was happy enough 'cos I knew she was here and every now and then she would find me and sit with me for a while, so I was still very happy.

My DH had some work to do outside, so I went and watched him for a while and then I took my adorable little self off into the fields to have my usual explore which I just love and just as I was strolling back into my garden I saw my MH going into her wee gym, so I followed her and she was delighted to see me.

I stayed with her for a wee while but between you and me, it is a wee bit boring watching her on her bike 'cos she never goes anywhere, so I just wandered off again and let her listen to her music until her little legs were a wee bit tired and then we both headed home for a seat together on my couch. Magic!

My days are very good and because it isn't getting dark until nearly nine o'clock in the night time I have lots of play time and it is getting more and more every day so I think I will just get happier and happier, thank you very much. :-))

A Lonely Day

Both my humans were away out today so I was left all alone. Sigh! It wasn't too bad, though 'cos the window was left open for me, but it wasn't a nice day. It was one of those days my MH calls 'dreich' when it is grey and misty with very fine rain which quickly soaks this adorable little body, so I stayed in for most of the day and just waited patiently for them to come home in the little kangaroo.

I love when they come home 'cos as soon as the door opens, my MH shouts my name and I go running to where she is, then she lifts me up and cuddles me and tells me she has missed me loads and I purr back that I have missed her too. And then it is playtime!

When she came out of the bathroom, I scooted into the bedroom which is her signal for playing with me and she knows the signs, so she played. She had a wee paper bag which she scrunched up and threw for me and I chased all over my bedroom at the speed of light chasing it, catching it and throwing it up into the air. Oh, my dear friends it was magic. It was almost worth being neglected all day hee hee!

We are all settled down now, but it is still a rotten night outside so I think if I do go out later on, it will just be for a wee while, but we'll see.

Sunday

I trotted off to bed last night feeling quite happy 'cos I knew all the rotten painting was finished and that I would be the star attraction in my house on the next day so I was happy. I am not too sure what happened through the night. Maybe it was a wee bad dream, but I wakened up needing a cuddle from my MH, so I lay on her chest and purred into her face until she wakened up and cuddled me all better. It was very dark but she knew where I was and she stroked me and whispered to me and I was very happy and then I went to sleep and had some lovely dreams.

When it was time to get up, I was a wee bit annoyed to find that it was raining and not a very good day at all, so I knew we would be staying inside, but I was OK with that 'cos I knew my humans would play with me if I wanted, but I was happy just resting.

I was in the middle of one of these rests, when my friend S.came to see me and we had a lovely afternoon together. She lifted me up and cuddled me and called me her 'ickle wickle' again and that always makes me happy, so, although it has not been the bestest of days outside, I have still been a very happy puss inside!

A Very Happy Puss

I have had a much better day today, although the morning time wasn't exactly to my liking 'cos the humans decided that the Rayburn needed another coat of paint and so out came the brush and out went Squeak. Well, I knew I wouldn't get much attention in my house plus I ran the risk of getting gold paint on my adorable black and white coat. Now, there is nothing wrong with gold paint, but it is not for me, thank you very much.

However, the day suddenly improved when I saw all the paint stuff going away and I asked my MH if she would come and play with me, which of course she did. We played hide and seek, but as you can see, I am still not very good at it. Well, I am good, but my little wagger isn't. Ho hum!

Later on we both went out into my garden and we had brilliant fun. I ran all round the grass. I jumped through the fence and I did lots of pole climbing. I apologise for this picture being a bit blurry, but I was going at such as speed that my MH couldn't do anything else, but I am sure you will get the idea.

So, that has been my very good day, and now I am having a snooze on my couch as I am a little bit tired , but I am sure you will understand why. And the very bestest bit about it is that the painting is all finished and the rest of the weekend is all for me.

Yippee!

A Wee Bit Neglected.

I had a good enough morning with lots of attention from both my humans and a visitor to my little island who came to see us and he liked pussy cats, so I got a cuddle from him too.

But I am afraid my afternoon wasn't just as good 'cos for some unknown reason my MH decided to paint our stove and my DH had to help her so there was no time for me AND I didn't like the smell of the paint, so all in all, it hasn't been the bestest of afternoons.

However, the evening looks as though it will improve 'cos the painting is finished and my MH is on the couch, so after I have had a snooze in my wee hoose, I shall be up in my rightful place on her knee.

I have been promised their full attention tomorrow, so it looks as though that will be a much better day. I hope so.
