Not Much News

Life for me has been quite quiet just now, but it is a good quiet and I am still a very happy little Squeak. I am not writing to you every day because I don’t have very much news but I will let you know when anything exciting happens to me.

It has been cold on my little island but not cold enough to keep me indoors and when I go out there are some sheeps in the field fo me to talk to. AND I got a ginormous surprise when I went out today ‘cos there were two baby lambs running about and they made me smile. I didn’t go into the field in case the mummy sheep was angry with me...... but I will....soon!

There were two visitors in my house yesterday doing things in my house which I didn’t understand but they bringed ginormous boxes with them and I had a brilliant time jumping in and out of them which made everybody laugh. I had great fun.

Today I have been in the gym with my MH and then we played on the grass before the rain comed on and that was good fun too, so I am having the bestest times and now I am all cosied up on my MH’s knee and I think I might soon be snoring.

Oh happy puss!

My Sunday

When I looked out of my window in this morning I thought it looked nice outside so I asked if the window could be opened to let me outside, but when I got out I was very happy that I have a furry coat on my adorable little body ‘cos it was FREEZING outside! Brrrrr!!

I didn’t complain though and I stayed out for quite a wee while having a chat to the sheeps but I was a very happy little Squeak when I went back inside to my nice cosy house and got all warmed up again. I had a few trips outside and played for a while when my MH tooked her flowers to the graveyard again but when she comed home I plonked my adorable little body on her lap and we cuddled for a long, long time.

That made us both very happy indeed.There were two other things that made me happy and that was when the old dear played with me and the string and then when I rested on some lovely soft material that my friend M. is going to mend my couch with for us ‘cos when I was a baby puss I sort of scratched it and now my MH wants to make it better ‘cos I am a growed up, well behaved little Squeak.

Windy, Windy

Boy, has it been a blowy old day. The wind has been shouting at me all day and I did not like it one little bit. When me and my MH got up in this morning I thought I would have my breakfast and then a play in my garden but when I heard the wind I nearly changed my mind.

However, I decided I would be a brave Squeak and so I asked my MH to please open the window for me, which she did. And that was nearly a BIG mistake ‘cos when I jumped off the window sill the wind nearly tooked the window out of the old dear’s hand and she had to pull really hard to get it shut again. Phew!!

As for me, I am sure I was flying! I landed a lot further than I usually do and when I got back in again, through the door this time, I told my MH that I had flied in the wind and she just smiled.

She smiles a lot when I tell her my secrets.

Just a Normal Thursday

... but it has been a good Thursday for me and I have had a very good day. Me and my MH were up quite early because we were finished sleeping and we had a long chat on my couch before she had to start some of her housework and I just followed her around and waited patiently until she was finished.

My DH went out for a while and I thought he was going away on the boat but a wee while later he comed back with a box of messages.....tied up with string!! Oh what brilliant fun we had playing in my kitchen. I love sliding all over the floor chasing whatever is in front of me. But I have a little worry.

I heard my humans talking about getting new ‘stuff’ for the kitchen floor and I am hoping that it will be as slippy as this stuff. I will need to have my adorable little paws crossed until it comes.

Helpful Squeak

I have been very busy today helping my MH do all her housework. She was in Stromness with her friends yesterday and didn’t have time to do all of her work so she was busy today and I, of course, had to help. It just so happened that she was changing the beds again and that is my very favouritist time to help her. Plus I always make her chuckle.

I jumped up on the bed just as she was pulling the sheets off and I got pulled down the bed as well and I liked that. Then my MH asked me to please get off so that she could put the clean sheets on, but I pretended I didn’t understand what she was saying and I stayed there till she lifted me off. But as soon as she turned round I was back on the bed again just like a flash of light and she had to lift me off again and I think I did that about twenty hundred times until the old dear was tired but she told me she had muscles now that she didn’t have before! Hee hee

It was really the very bestest of fun and when we had finished I went into the fields and told all my sheep friends what I had done and they all laughed to. I hope this makes you a wee bit happy when you know what I have been doing.

Nearly....

..... but not quite. I had a very lazy day yesterday just thinking and sleeping and watching so when it comed to bedtime I wasn’t very sleepy. I cuddled in beside my MH but when she put her light out I had a wee play with some of my toys, but I did it quietly so that I wouldn’t wake her up.

I kind of slept on and off a wee bit but then when the old dear had to get up about half past two o’clock in this morning I was very happy ‘cos even when she is still half sleeping she still plays with me and cuddles me but I didn’t really want that ‘cos I decided I would have another nocturnal perambulation and so I asked to please open the door for me.

Now, I was just a tad confused as to why she wasn’t arguing with me but as soon as she opened the door I knew. There was a howling gale in my garden and it nearly blowed me back into my kitchen so I just looked at my MH and told her there was no way I was going out in that! She just smiled and we went back to bed.Sigh!!


I have had a good day although it has still been a bit breezy but the wind has gone some other place now so I may have my perambulation tonight but I won’t tell the old dear and it will be a nice surprise for her.

I am such a good puss!

Change of Plan

It wasn’t such a bad day after all ‘cos it was just my MH who went away to Kirkwall and my DH stayed home to keep me company so I was a happy puss. I had to look after him a wee bit though ‘cos he wasn’t feeling too clever but as usual I carried out my duties with aplomb.

I did manage some pussycat time and nipped into the field to have a chat with the sheeps and while I did this, the old boy finished off the cabinet that he has been making and my MH was ever so pleased when she comed home. I think my DH got a gold star and I got a great big cuddle!

So, it has been quite a good day after all.
