Oh Joy

I have a new morning routine because of all this lovely weather we are having. As soon as I have opened my adorable little eyes and then wakened my MH, I go straight out into my garden and stay there until I am faint with hunger and then I scoot back inside and plead to be fed and then after I am all filled up, I scoot back outside again. This is just perfect and I love it.

My DH is doing a lot of work outside and after my MH had done all her housework, she took out the mower and cut our grass again, so I have had lots of company when I am outside which just makes me the happiest little puss in this world.

I got a big surprise last night just before bedtime 'cos my MH was going to get ready for bed but when she looked out of my window, the sky was so beautiful that she asked me if I would like to go outside with her to take some pictures for you. And you all know my answer, don't you?

We stayed out for a long time just watching the beautiful colours and if you look carefully at the pictures of yours truly, you can even see the setting sun on my coat. It was just a most glorious evening. I heard my MH saying that to my friend S. and I thought it sounded so good I would say it to you.

I am sure you will agree with us.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy!

What a fantabulous, brilliant day I have had. Just magic, and I have loved every single second of it. We were all up early this morning 'cos there was a man coming to my house. I don't know why, but he had a tape measure with him and he was making lots of notes, so I shall have to find out and as soon as I know, you will know. OK?

I went outside when he comed in and it was before nine o'clock in this morning and already my little island was HOT so I was very happy. I was so happy that I didn't feel hungry and I played out for a long time until my adorable little tummy shouted to me that it was very empty and would I please fill it. So I had to rush home and ask my dear old MH to do the same and she did and me and my tummy were very grateful.

The sun shone all day and it just got warmer and warmer and I was very happy just wandering around the fields or just lying on my paths which were lovely and cosy. I had to keep moving my adorable little body because I was nearly cooking!

My humans were out with me lots of times too and that just made my day absolutely purr-fect. So you see, I have had a really good day and I hope you have had a very good day too.

A Funny Old Day

I was so excited when I wakened up 'cos I was looking forward to another brilliant day on my little island, but when I ran to the window and looked out, there was nothing there---only a thick grey mist and I was so disappointed. I know that both my humans were at home with me and that they would play with me, but I wanted it to be like yesterday so that we could all be outside having lots of fun. Ho hum.

I did wander out for a wee while but it wasn't very exciting so I just went back home and had a snooze while my MH did all the work she should have done yesterday, but then I got a big surprise when I wakened up 'cos all the mist had disappeared again and the sun was shining. Yippee

I asked to be let out to play and I wandered through the long grass for a long time and I was very happy. Then I heard my MH calling for me 'cos she needed my help to hang out her washing and of course I did as she asked and that made her very happy too.

I stayed out for such a long time in this afternoon that my MH was beginning to get worried and so she came outside and called for me and like a very good puss, I ran to see what she wanted and I told her I was just having the very bestest fun doing pussy cat things and she was happy with that so she let me stay outside.

It is after teatime now and I am having a snooze but the sun is still shining and the mist has gone away, so I shall be heading outside again very soon to have more brilliant fun.

Oh I do like this good weather.

Well ...

....it was a glorious day on my little island with roasting hot sunshine and just enough breeze to keep me from becoming roast Squeak, but I had nobody to enjoy it with ‘cos I was abandoned again. Sigh

I knew the old boy was going to the Cat Shop like he normally does, but when we got up this morning my MH told me that she was going to Kirkwall with her friends and I was to be left all alone which made me a wee bit awful sad but I put on a very brave face until she was away and then I had a wee cry.

The only good bit was that the window was left open for me, but to be honest, my adorable little heart wasn’t in it and I just sat and looked out for a wee while and waited patiently till my door opened again and both my humans were back to me.

Then I went out to play and I just loved it ‘cos it was lovely and warm so I am hoping it will be good again tomorrow ‘cos both my humans will be with me. Yippee

Fantastic!

I have had the brilliantest day ever and I have just loved it. It has been so fantastic that I am now sound asleep on my couch 'cos I am a wee bit tired after all my playing outside, but I am sending my thoughts to my MH who is writing this for me. I think you know it is her that writes it, don't you? I just tell her what to say--hee hee

My DH went away on the boat to go to the Cat Shop and me and her sat on my couch as always and worked out what our day was going to be. And it was just magic! The sun was shining and it was quite warm so I was outside for nearly all of the day and, just as she promised, my MH comed out to play with me and we both stayed out together for a long time. She played with me and she watched me doing pussy cat things, and then I watched her pulling up some naughty weeds that were trying to grow in my garden. My humans do not like the weeds so they always pull them up and I try and help but I'm not very good at it yet.

There are lots of sheeps and birdies on my island and there are some brand new baby cows and some of them are right outside my living room window and I asked the old dear to take a picture of then for you, which she did. She also tooked some new pictures of yours truly which I will show you over the next few days.

So, I am a very happy Squeak indeed and I will have another play outside for a while before bedtime. I just love it when I am outside at night time 'cos it is just quite magic. I can lie on the grass and watch the sun going to bed and then I know it is time for me to do the same so I go home and snuggle up beside my MH and that makes us both very happy indeed.

Resting

Oh dear me, my MH has been so pleased with herself today it is almost unbearable! When she was talking to my DH yesterday about cutting the grass, she thought she might leave it until today but then she changed her mind and did it yesterday and guess what? It was misty all night and part of today as well, so the grass would have been too wet for her to take out the mower and oh boy, did she keep telling us? Yes, she did!

So, we have all had a very lazy day and to be quite honest, I played so much yesterday that I needed a wee rest today, so every time my MH sat down on my couch, I plonked my adorable little body on her knee and just cuddled up for a snooze and that was so very, very good.

It is the Folk Festival in Stromness this weekend so my DH is going to the Cat Shop tomorrow and it will just be me and the Boss in my house and she told me that if it was a good day she would play with me in the garden and take some new photographs to show you, so I am hoping that my little weather man friend will send some warm sunshine 'cos I just love being outside especially if my MH is with me.

I had better get a good night's sleep tonight so that I am looking my best for the camera!

More of the Same

It has been a brilliant day on my little island and I have hardly been in my house all day, so now I am a tiny bit tired and that's why I am sitting on my MH's knee. I need a rest before my night time perambulation.

I helped my DH when he was doing all his gardening work and then I had to help my MH hang out the washing and I had a couple of runs up my clothes poles just to make sure they were OK. And they were! Of course I had to do the same again later on in the day when we were bringing the washing back in again.

I stayed out in the afternoon while my MH cut our grass again and it is lovely and short now for me to roll on. So we have all had a very good day indeed. My paws are crossed for more of the same tomorrow.
