Painting Update

So, it was just as I thought. I knew when I saw my humans putting on their old clothes that it wasn’t going to be my bestest day and as usual, I was right. Sigh! After breakfast the old boy appeared with all the cloths to cover the furniture and the paint and rollers and I took my adorable little self off to find a resting place that didn’t have ‘stuff’ on top of it and lay and sulked for a while till I falled asleep.

I did have a wee wander into the room where my humans were but I was frightened that I might end up pale blue, so I just lay on my couch and waited for my MH to come and give me a wee cuddle, which she did when she wasn’t throwing paint on the walls. It was quite funny one time ‘cos my DH comed to see me and he had a blue cheek and some of his beard was blue, but me and my MH didn’t tell him. We just smiled.

So where are we now, I hear you ask. Well, all the blue is finished but tomorrow my MH has to put the white shiny paint on the wood bits and that is the very,VERY end! Yippee. I am so happy at that bit of news.

The rest of their time is all for me. Just me. And I think I deserve it. Don’t you?

My Wednesday.....

... was just a normal Wednesday. Me and my DH were up fist 'cos he had to get ready to go to the Cat Shop and it is the rule in my house that whoever is up first gives me my breakfast and then lets me out to play if the weather is to my liking.

So, I trotted into the kitchen with the old boy and waited patiently while he put my food into my dish. He is not quite as quick as the Boss, but he is getting better. I had a wee nibble at that and then I wandered into my garden for a while and by the time I went home again, my MH was up and having her breakfast, so I sat on her knee and waited very patiently until I got my wee drink of milk which was really good.

I stayed with my MH till the old boy went away and then I went back to bed while she did a little bit of work, but she wasn't too busy so every now and then I got a special cuddle and I was very content indeed.


I have been told officially that tomorrow is another painting day and they are going to be working in the study so yours truly will have to find some place different to have my daily snoozes. BUT, I have been promised that when this room is finished, then ALL the painting work is done. Finally!

And I for one will be very, very happy.

I think......

... my humans are up to something again 'cos all the things have been taken out of the study and put into another room, so I have decided that they are going to be painting in there now and I am not at all happy about it.

I have had a good day though 'cos it was mainly my DH who was doing all the hard work, so me and my MH sat together for a while and she cuddled me and talked to me all the time and that cheered me up a wee bit, but every time I went into the study to see what was happening, I was a wee bit cross and needed an extra cuddle.

I have discovered, through my powers of listening when they think I am asleep, that they are going to paint the study on Thursday and I have been promised that after that all the brushes and paint pots are going to be put away for a very long time, so I guess I shall just have to be a patient puss.

I shall try, but it won't be easy!

Normal Monday

…. except I had lots of visitors in this afternoon which I like lots. My day started off just the same as all the other ones with me and my MH sitting together on my couch while my DH went away on the boat to go to the Cat Shop, and then I had a wee snooze while the old dear chased the vacuum cleaner all over my house. Just a normal Monday!

That was about all the excitement for the morning but I was quite content 'cos every now and then, my MH would find me and sit with me which was lovely, but then the afternoon got even lovelier when my friend M. comed to see me for a little while but after he went away my other two friends S. and M. comed to my house to see me and the rooms that my humans had painted and they liked it all. They stroked me and talked to me lots and that made me very happy.


So, that has been my normal Monday and I have liked it very much. I like normal!

Squeak's Sunday

I am happy. There was no work in my house today just as my humans promised, so there was lots and lots of time for me---and I was able to have a rest in whatever room I wanted, so I have no complaints about my Sunday at all.

It wasn't a very good day for weather 'cos we had wind and some rain and it was cold, so I stayed in my house for nearly all of the day but I was very happy doing that, although I will probably have a wee while outside before bedtime because the fresh air helps me sleep and if I am sleeping well, then my MH sleeps well too. See?

I don't have very much news for you at all because I haven't been doing very much except sleeping and being cuddled but I needed to tell you that I am very well and very happy and I hope you are well and happy too.

Good News and Not So Good News

The good news is really good news 'cos all the painting is finished, but the not so good news is that my humans have decided to do more next week and I am not at all happy!

We have had a good day today with just little bits of work putting all the things back in the rooms again but there was lots of times for me and I got as many cuddles as I wanted and right now me and my MH are sitting on my couch watching the dancing so I am very happy and I have been told that tomorrow there will be NO work at all and the whole day is just for me! Yippee!

However, when I was having a snooze, I sort of overhead my humans talking and although they were whispering so that I wouldn't waken up, I used my supersonic hearing to listen and I kind of wish I hadn't because they had a big discussion and have decided to paint the study at the end of next week so that all the rooms have been made lovely again. I am not best pleased but I do understand and because it isn't a very big room, they will be finished quickly and it also means I will be able to sniff in places I haven't sniffed before, so I guess it's not all bad news.


But I am going to be one very happy puss when all the brushes are away FOREVER!

More Painting!

Oh dear, I knew it wasn't going to be a good day for me when I saw all the brushes, rollers and paint pots coming out again and I was right and this time it was my spare room that the humans were painting. The good side of it all was that the weather was very good so I could wander out to play when it all got too much for me and then I could come back in and lie on the bed while the humans painted round about me, and they talked to me as well while they were working so it wasn't too bad really.

The room is a nice pink colour which I like lots and I even managed to go in and out of the room lots of times without being a pink puss which I thought was very clever of me. But we all knew that already, didn't we?

I think the work is nearly all done although the Boss told me she has to do something tomorrow with gloss paint but she has promised that it will be all finished by Saturday and then all the time will be for me and I am looking forward to that.


It hasn't been all that bad really although I have felt a wee bit lonely at times but when my MH notices that, she stops what she is doing and cuddles me and that makes me feel millions better.

So, life's not all that bad after all!
