A Wee Bit Better

My day has been just a little bit better. Not a lot as the decorating stuff is still going on in my house, but there have been corners for me to get into and ladders for me to climb up as you can see from today's photographs.

There was time for me to have cuddles and even a wee time to play with my MH which did help to cheer me up a lot. My humans were busy papering and painting and cleaning and stuff and all I could do was sit and watch and just wait until they had a wee bit of time for me and then one of them would come and find me and talk to me and cuddle me and that was good.

I think they are nearly finished but they will still be busy for a couple of days yet, so I am still practicing being patient. I will probably just become good at it when all the work will be finished and I won't need it. Hee hee

It is hard work being patient!

Not a lot better

… in fact, if anything, it is even a wee bit worser. Sigh. I have been doing a lot of sighing today and I know you will want to know what is wrong in my little life and I shall tell you.

My humans have been wallpapering my kitchen and my bathroom and my whole house is all upset which I do not like at all plus they are very busy and there isn't a lot of time for me. The only good thing about it is that they finish about dinner time so then it is my time and that is fine. I have been told that the work will be all finished and my house will be all back to normal very soon so I am just trying to be very patient, but it is not very easy.


I have had some good times with my MH, but not as many as I really want, and we have played with some of my toys which is good and then she tooked out her camera and made this lovely picture for you.

Is this not just the adorablest thing you have seen?

What a Day!

I have not been the happiest puss in the world today because my house has been all upset again and there was very little time for me. Sigh


We were all up quite early and everything was fine but then I noticed that my humans were moving things out of my kitchen and my bathroom and it was then that I realised that something was afoot--or apaw, in my case. Hee hee. And then one of our friends arrived and I KNEW there was something going on. And how right I was!

So, in a flash there were paint pots and paint brushes everywhere while the bathroom ceiling got painted and my humans tooked all the paper off the kitchen walls and moved everything out of the way. The only good thing about all this upheaval is that I got to sniff in corners that I couldn't get into before but I would rather have cuddles, thank you very much.


I am now settled down on my MH's knee and she has told me that they are going to be busy for a few days but she has promised that she will make as much time for me as possible so I shall just have to be patient!


It won't be easy, but I shall try!

A Very Good Day

I have had another super duper day. It is still very cold but all the snow has disappeared and my garden is now all wet and not very comfortable on my adorable little feets but that hasn't kept me in and I have managed a few trips outside but my bestest fun was in my house with my MH.

My DH was away at the Cat Shop as usual so it was just me and the Boss today and we had good fun. She had some housework to do but I just waited patiently until she was finished and then I asked her to please play with me which she did and it was brilliant.

We played with some of my toys but then I found the crumpled up bit of paper and I chased it all over the living room while my MH watched me. She likes watching me. Then we went into my kitchen and I discovered an empty box that used to be filled with some of my dinners, so I thought I wold nip inside and make sure it was empty and while I was there I had a good wash and my MH said I looked as though I was in a pretend bath and that made us both chuckle.

So I have had a very good Monday indeed.

Sunday Surprises

I have had a simply super Sunday and I have loved every second of it. When I woked up in this morning, I saw that my garden was all white so I rushed out to play in it. I had to be a wee bit careful ‘cos it was slippy and sometimes it is difficult to control four adorable little feets! But I did. You knew I would, didn’t you?

I was in and out lots of times but it was so cold that I couldn’t stay out too long. I got a big surprise when three peoples comed to my house to see me and my MH and I had very good fun. I got lots of cuddles and I made everybody giggle when I saw a great big seagull at my bird feeder and I made growling noises at it which made every body stop talking and listen to me and then they all laughed.

I am now all snuggled up beside my MH and we are watching the skating programme but I am mostly snoozing as my MH is stroking my adorable little head. And I am loving it.....millions!

Saturday Again

It is still cold and there have been lots of wee snowy showers but there still isn't enough snow for me to have a good play in. Maybe tomorrow. Every morning as soon as I open my adorable little eyes, I give my MH a wee morning purr in her lug and then I run to the window hoping to see feets and feets of deep snow but so far I have been a wee bit disappointed, but maybe tomorrow....I hope.

I have been in my house for most of the day 'cos it is just too cold for me to be out for a long time but since both my humans have been with me all day, I have been very happy. I made both my humans laugh when I was playing in this afternoon. My MH and me were in the kitchen and she was throwing a bit of crumpled up paper into the bin, but she missed and I chased it for her and killed it lots of times before I let it go then chased it all over again and I had the bestest of fun and that made them giggle and that made me happy.

So, although there isn't very much news at all just now, I am still a very well and a very happy little puss and I hope you are very well and very happy too.

Snow Time

I was a wee bit very sad when I wakened up in this morning 'cos my humans had told me that they were going to Stromness for the whole day and I had to be left all alone but then when they saw all the snow they decided that they would rather stay home with me and I was very, very happy indeed.

Me and my MH were up first and as soon as my breakfast was safely inside my adorable little tummy I asked to be let out and I played for a little while in the snow until it got too cold and when I went inside my MH had a wee giggle 'cos she said I looked like a Dalmatian pussy cat 'cos I was all speckled with snow. Hee hee

It was like that all day really and at one time the snow was REALLY heavy and I sat on my windowsill and watched it falling down onto the ground which then becomed all white. It has been freezing cold all day and I have spent most of it inside but when I saw the rain coming on I was a bit annoyed 'cos that meant that the snow would go away, but maybe it will come back again tomorrow. I hope so!

I am having a snooze now but I will go out again before bedtime and I shall see if there is any snow left on my little island and again.....I hope so!
