More of the same...

...but I like it being the same. We were all at home together today and while me and my MH did the housework my DH was busy working on the cabinet he is making and what a noise he made with his hammering and drilling. It nearly gave me and my MH a sore head, but it soon stopped and the Boss likes what he has done so that is good news.

The weather outside was quite good too but it was a wee bit cool for this adorable little puss so I had lots of short visits to my garden and of course I had to go into the field to have a chat to some of my sheep friends. I do like that lots especially when we can rub noses through the fence. That always makes my MH smile.


So, that was my day really. It was a good day but there isn't a lot of news that I can tell you except that I am to be abandoned tomorrow as my humans are going to Kirkwall to do some shopping. I am hoping that the weather will be good enough for my MH to leave the window open for me.


But we will just have to wait and see.

A Super Day

When I wakened up in this morning I thought it was the summer time 'cos it was warm and the sun was shining and I just knew I was going to have a brilliant day....and I did.

It was a normal Wednesday day and my DH went away on the boat to go to the Cat Shop and me and my MH had a long chat while we were sitting on my couch because she didn't have any work to do. She had to go to a wee meeting in the Hall but she didn't leave me lonely for too and soon she was back beside me to cuddle me and tell me that she loved me millions.

We had a good afternoon together and I got out to play as much as I wanted and it was good outside 'cos the nice farmer man next door has put some sheeps in the field in front of my house so I had some company when I was outside and I liked that.


We have all had our dinner and my humans are watching my television while I am on my MH's knee and my adorable little head is on her lap top and I am sending all these thoughts to you.

A Good Day

I slept all the last night and didn’t go out to play in the middle of the night time, which pleased my MH a lot. We all got up quite early ‘cos both my humans had bits of work to do, but it was a lovely day so I was in and out for most of the time just watching and listening.

Every day I listen in case some of my little birdie friends have come back to my island but I think it is still too early and they are on their holidays. I am hoping they will be back soon ‘cos it gets a wee bit lonely when I am on my own. Both my humans were a wee bit busy today and my MH was baking some cakes while my DH was building a wee cabinet for our new kitchen.

I just wandered between them watching what they were doing and every now and then I got a cuddle from one of them and that made me happy.

So I have had a good day. A very good day indeed.

Another Adventure

Me and my MH had a very good sleep last night until about half past three o'clock in this morning when the old dear had to get up to go to the toilet and of course I had to get up too to make sure she was OK and that she didn't get lost.

She gave me a wee bit of dinner but I wasn't feeling too hungry but I decided that I would like to see what it was like outside so I put on my bestest 'please MH' face and stared at the door and she understood immediately and let me out to explore in the dark time and I liked it lots.


I had a wander round my garden and it was good fun, but like the very good puss I am, I remembered that my MH would be sitting on our couch waiting for me to come back in so she could get back to bed, so I didn't stay out too long and soon I jumped up onto the window sill and knocked on my window till she let me in again.


We had a wee chat and then nipped back to bed where we had a very good sleep until the alarm shouted at us in this morning. But I stayed in my bed 'cos I was still a little bit tired! Hee hee

In and Out

That's what I have been doing all this day. Just out and in and out and in. Out for a wee play and a big explore and then in for a feed or a cuddle or sometimes even both. I have had a crackin' day and I have loved it.

You will have realised it has been a good day on my little island and although it got a wee bit cool in this afternoon, it was good enough for this little puss to be outside lots. My friend S. thought it was a good day too and she comed to my house to see me and my MH and we had a wee chat together and she gived me some cuddles too so I have been very well cuddled today and there is still the tonight time.

When she went away to her own house, my MH asked me if I would like to go outside with her while she cleaned the inside of her new car. She had to get another one 'cos the little kangaroo hasn't been keeping very well and sometimes it takes my MH to a place but doesn't bring her home again and her little legs have had to walk back to my house in the dark time and she didn't like that very much so she got another car last week and we think that whoever was driving it before us was wearing great big mucky boots so me and the old dear had to make it all clean again. And we did. And she is a happy MH again.

So, we have had a very good Sunday and I hope you have had a good day too.

A Better Day

I was a wee bit abandoned yesterday 'cos both my humans had to go shopping in Stromness but they only went away on the dinner time boat so it wasn't too long to be lonely and as usual there were lots of cuddles when they comed home to me again.

Later on in the night time my MH had to go out again to help the little childrens at the Youth Club in our Hall so it was just me and my DH in my house and we watched the football but I am afraid the old boy wasn't happy when his team didn't win and he told my MH all about it when she comed home.


Today has been better and I have been out playing a lot and then me and my MH played for a long, long time on top of my bed and she rolled me up in my blanket and tickled me and cuddled me and I was just the happiest little puss in this entire world.


I am a lucky Squeak.

More Normal

So, we all got up in this morning when the alarm told us it was time and me and my MH had a seat together while my DH got himself ready to go on the boat to go to the Cat Shop. It was quite a fine morning, so I nipped outside for a wee wander to see what was happening and I got a surprise when some of my sheep friends were back in the field in front of my house and that made me very happy indeed.

We had a wee chat together and then I jumped back inside my house just in time to get a wee drink of milk from the old dear's cereal and me and her waved bye bye to my DH. I just lay on the back of my couch while my MH did a wee bit of housework but every now and then she would stop and give me a cuddle and we had another wee chat so that was good fun.

There was a wee drop of rain in this afternoon but it cleared up quickly so I had some more trips outside and now I am resting while my humans are watching television and I am still very happy.

Another Good Day....

....even the weather was better and I have been outside lots of times but I was a wee bit lonely because the nice farmer man next door has moved all my sheeps friends to another field and I haven’t been able to find them yet, but I will ‘cos my little island isn’t very big so it shouldn’t take me too long.

I had a wander round my fields and then as usual, back in time for my milk which I lapped up sitting on my MH’s knee. Bliss, sheer bliss! I had another short trip outside and just got back in time to help my MH change the beds again and we had brilliant fun. I kept being where I shouldn’t have been and my dear old MH kept lifting me off and putting me someplace else, but as soon as she turned round I was back again where I shouldn’t have been. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant!

The rest of my day was spent either outside or on my MH’s knee having one of our chats which I liked lots and I am now having a wee snooze before I head outside before bedtime.

Purr-fect!

Monday Again

And just a normal Monday in my house with me and my MH sitting on my couch in this morning and my DH going away on the boat to go to the Cat Shop and then once he was away I nipped outside for a while because the weather was quite good, but as usual, I just nipped back in time to get my little drop of milk from my MH's cereal and then nipped back to bed for a wee snooze.

On a Monday, that is the bestest and safest place to be because my MH spends lots of time chasing her vacuum cleaner around my house so I just lie on top of my little bed dreaming lovely dreams until I hear no more noise and then I know it is safe to get up again and I go and find the old dear and we have another wee cuddle and a chat.


There was a lot of heavy rain on my little island so I didn't get out in this afternoon but it has finally stopped so I will probably have a quick nip outside before bedtime.

Yes, just a normal Monday.

A Super Duper Sunday

Oh my dear friends I am a ever so happy little Squeak because my life is all normal again and my house is back to being just how I like it and where I know where everything is. Yes, I am happy.

My Sunday has been a very good day indeed and I got a couple of lovely surprises which made me purr very loudly indeed and it made my humans smile a lot. The first surprise was when my friend S. comed to see me and my newly decorated kitchen and she loved both----but me bestest of all! We had a long chat and then I asked to be let out and that's when I got my next surprise 'cos one of my sheep friends comed right up to my fence to speak to me and my dear old MH just happened to have her camera at the ready to catch these pictures for you.

Isn't that just the cutest thing you have seen?

Such a Good Day

Have you maybe guessed that my house is back to normal again and that there has been lots of time for me? If you have, then you will be very right and I am very happy indeed.

I do not like an upset and it seems like my house has been a big mess for millions of years and I didn’t like it at all, but I was a very patient puss and my MH told me she was very proud of me, so I am doubly happy today.

It has been a funny weather day with sunshine then mist and rain then more sunshine and ending up with more rain so I did get a wee bit wet when I went out to play but it was ok ‘cos my MH knew where to find the towel to dry me again so I liked that millions.

So my dear friends, I am happy again and I have had a very good day and I hope your day has been a good one too.

All Done!

Well, nearly. My kitchen is nearly all back to normal again with just a couple of little bits to be done tomorrow and that is very good indeed. But the not so very good bit is that my house is still a bit messy with all the paint pots and trays and brushes and stuff that my DH needs to put away tomorrow. That's OK though 'cos it won't take him too long and there's not a lot for my MH to do so I will be her main concern again. Just like it was before all this and just how it should be.

I have had quite a good day although not one of the best because of all the work going on in my house but it is getting better and because the weather was warmer today I was able to get out to play for a wee while so that cheered me up but I know I am going to be a very happy puss tomorrow when my house is just the way I like it.

And I am back to being the centre of attraction!

A Day of Rest

It was nearly a normal day in my house today. My DH went away to the Cat Shop and it was just me and my MH in my house and she just did a little bit of work so it was a kind of 'me' day and I liked it very much indeed.

My house isn't quite back to normal and my kitchen is half papered and half not but my MH has promised me that everything will be all finished tomorrow and then it will be all back to normal by this weekend and I for one am very happy about that and to be honest, I think my humans will be very happy too.


It has been quite a nice day on my little island and I have been outside a lot which has been good. My little weather man friend told me that we might have some sunshine tomorrow, so if there is a lot of work being done inside my house I shall take my adorable little self outside for a explore.

It is a wee while since I have had a good explore so I am getting quite excited.

Not My Best Day

There were a lot of things that I didn't like about this today and one of them was the weather which was not to my liking at all 'cos it was wet and very windy and I wasn't able to get out to play very much at all.

My MH went away to Kirkwall with her friend so I was left in my house with my DH who was busy helping our friend to put some paper on our kitchen walls so there was no time for me. Usually I can go and find my MH and ask her to cuddle me but my DH was too busy so I was a wee bit lonely until the old dear comed back to me and then I was happy again.

My MH told us that when she got out of her little car, she nearly got blowed away 'cos the wind was so strong but she was OK and managed to get safely up the path and back into my house. It is still blowing a lot but I am hoping it will go away soon 'cos I would like to get outside before bedtime.

Another Busy Day

Oh dear, the painting work has started again in my house and I have been a rather confused little puss ‘cos every time I needed a wee feed, my dishes had all moved and I had to go on a dinner safari all round the ladder and tins and paint trays to find it, and by the time I had founded it again I had forgotten I was hungry! Oh deary, deary me!

I did manage quite a long cuddle on my MH’s knee when the work was finished for today and while I was there she told me that the paper was going on the walls tomorrow and it should all be finished and back to just the way I like it by Thursday and I cannot wait.

I do not like it when my house is all in a big guddle and when I can’t find things so I hope it is all finished very soon.

A Good Sunday

I have had a much better day today. My humans decided to have a rest and not do any more work in my kitchen, so there was peace in my house and lots of time for me. It was very good and I made the most of it because it has to start again tomorrow. Sigh (but just a wee sigh 'cos it will soon be finished)

The weather wasn't very good but I did manage to get outside quite a few times for a wee wander round my garden but it was really too cold to stay outside so I scooted back in again and cuddled up beside my MH and that's where I am right now as she is writing this to you.


And I am very happy indeed!

More of the Same

But I am OK with that 'cos there hasn't been too much work going on in my house today. It was just the top of the kitchen getting painted and then we are all having a rest tomorrow and the paper is going on the walls on Monday, so there was a lot of time for me and my MH even remembered the signal when I did what she calls my 'silly run' into the bedroom which always means I am ready to play and I am hoping that she is ready too. And she was! Yippee!! We played for a long time and then when I falled asleep she went back to the kitchen to do some more work, but I was happy---and sleeping, so it was very fine indeed.

The weather on my little island has been awful with lots of naughty wind and millions of rain so I only got out to play one time for a very little while but maybe I will get outside before bedtime. I will only go if it is not blowing a gale 'cos I do not like the wind, so as I am having my after dinner snooze, I am hoping that the wind will go and blow some place else.

And leave me all alone in peace to get outside. Paws crossed!

A Wee Bit Better

My day has been just a little bit better. Not a lot as the decorating stuff is still going on in my house, but there have been corners for me to get into and ladders for me to climb up as you can see from today's photographs.

There was time for me to have cuddles and even a wee time to play with my MH which did help to cheer me up a lot. My humans were busy papering and painting and cleaning and stuff and all I could do was sit and watch and just wait until they had a wee bit of time for me and then one of them would come and find me and talk to me and cuddle me and that was good.

I think they are nearly finished but they will still be busy for a couple of days yet, so I am still practicing being patient. I will probably just become good at it when all the work will be finished and I won't need it. Hee hee

It is hard work being patient!

Not a lot better

… in fact, if anything, it is even a wee bit worser. Sigh. I have been doing a lot of sighing today and I know you will want to know what is wrong in my little life and I shall tell you.

My humans have been wallpapering my kitchen and my bathroom and my whole house is all upset which I do not like at all plus they are very busy and there isn't a lot of time for me. The only good thing about it is that they finish about dinner time so then it is my time and that is fine. I have been told that the work will be all finished and my house will be all back to normal very soon so I am just trying to be very patient, but it is not very easy.


I have had some good times with my MH, but not as many as I really want, and we have played with some of my toys which is good and then she tooked out her camera and made this lovely picture for you.

Is this not just the adorablest thing you have seen?

What a Day!

I have not been the happiest puss in the world today because my house has been all upset again and there was very little time for me. Sigh


We were all up quite early and everything was fine but then I noticed that my humans were moving things out of my kitchen and my bathroom and it was then that I realised that something was afoot--or apaw, in my case. Hee hee. And then one of our friends arrived and I KNEW there was something going on. And how right I was!

So, in a flash there were paint pots and paint brushes everywhere while the bathroom ceiling got painted and my humans tooked all the paper off the kitchen walls and moved everything out of the way. The only good thing about all this upheaval is that I got to sniff in corners that I couldn't get into before but I would rather have cuddles, thank you very much.


I am now settled down on my MH's knee and she has told me that they are going to be busy for a few days but she has promised that she will make as much time for me as possible so I shall just have to be patient!


It won't be easy, but I shall try!

A Very Good Day

I have had another super duper day. It is still very cold but all the snow has disappeared and my garden is now all wet and not very comfortable on my adorable little feets but that hasn't kept me in and I have managed a few trips outside but my bestest fun was in my house with my MH.

My DH was away at the Cat Shop as usual so it was just me and the Boss today and we had good fun. She had some housework to do but I just waited patiently until she was finished and then I asked her to please play with me which she did and it was brilliant.

We played with some of my toys but then I found the crumpled up bit of paper and I chased it all over the living room while my MH watched me. She likes watching me. Then we went into my kitchen and I discovered an empty box that used to be filled with some of my dinners, so I thought I wold nip inside and make sure it was empty and while I was there I had a good wash and my MH said I looked as though I was in a pretend bath and that made us both chuckle.

So I have had a very good Monday indeed.

Sunday Surprises

I have had a simply super Sunday and I have loved every second of it. When I woked up in this morning, I saw that my garden was all white so I rushed out to play in it. I had to be a wee bit careful ‘cos it was slippy and sometimes it is difficult to control four adorable little feets! But I did. You knew I would, didn’t you?

I was in and out lots of times but it was so cold that I couldn’t stay out too long. I got a big surprise when three peoples comed to my house to see me and my MH and I had very good fun. I got lots of cuddles and I made everybody giggle when I saw a great big seagull at my bird feeder and I made growling noises at it which made every body stop talking and listen to me and then they all laughed.

I am now all snuggled up beside my MH and we are watching the skating programme but I am mostly snoozing as my MH is stroking my adorable little head. And I am loving it.....millions!

Saturday Again

It is still cold and there have been lots of wee snowy showers but there still isn't enough snow for me to have a good play in. Maybe tomorrow. Every morning as soon as I open my adorable little eyes, I give my MH a wee morning purr in her lug and then I run to the window hoping to see feets and feets of deep snow but so far I have been a wee bit disappointed, but maybe tomorrow....I hope.

I have been in my house for most of the day 'cos it is just too cold for me to be out for a long time but since both my humans have been with me all day, I have been very happy. I made both my humans laugh when I was playing in this afternoon. My MH and me were in the kitchen and she was throwing a bit of crumpled up paper into the bin, but she missed and I chased it for her and killed it lots of times before I let it go then chased it all over again and I had the bestest of fun and that made them giggle and that made me happy.

So, although there isn't very much news at all just now, I am still a very well and a very happy little puss and I hope you are very well and very happy too.

Snow Time

I was a wee bit very sad when I wakened up in this morning 'cos my humans had told me that they were going to Stromness for the whole day and I had to be left all alone but then when they saw all the snow they decided that they would rather stay home with me and I was very, very happy indeed.

Me and my MH were up first and as soon as my breakfast was safely inside my adorable little tummy I asked to be let out and I played for a little while in the snow until it got too cold and when I went inside my MH had a wee giggle 'cos she said I looked like a Dalmatian pussy cat 'cos I was all speckled with snow. Hee hee

It was like that all day really and at one time the snow was REALLY heavy and I sat on my windowsill and watched it falling down onto the ground which then becomed all white. It has been freezing cold all day and I have spent most of it inside but when I saw the rain coming on I was a bit annoyed 'cos that meant that the snow would go away, but maybe it will come back again tomorrow. I hope so!

I am having a snooze now but I will go out again before bedtime and I shall see if there is any snow left on my little island and again.....I hope so!
